Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) defeated Republican Senate candidate Kari Lake in the Arizona Senate race to replace outgoing Sen. Kyrsten Sinema (I-AZ).

Democrat Ruben Gallego has won the U.S. Senate race in Arizona, defeating his far-right Republican rival, Kari Lake, according to a race call by Associated Press late on Monday, Nov. 11.

Republicans flipped Democratic-controlled Senate seats in West Virginia, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Montana. In the latter three cases, defeated Sens. Sherrod Brown, Bob Casey and Jon Tester also ran ahead of Harris but couldn’t overcome their states’ shifts toward the GOP.
