A Seattle woman was watching a movie on a Delta Air Lines flight when she was severely burned by a cup of coffee served to her by a flight attendant

During the Delta flight from Paris to Seattle, Cheryl Myers was watching a movie when a flight attendant put a cup of coffee on a slanted tray table, the suit says.

“She’s watching a movie, flight attendant puts a cup of burning hot coffee on her food tray and it ends up in her lap,” Mark Lindquist, the passenger’s attorney, claimed. In the lawsuit filed Thursday by Lindquist’ law firm, the woman, identified only as Cheryl, claims the coffee was boiling hot.

The victim was flying on an International Delta Air Lines flight from Paris, France, to Seattle, the United States.

Cheryl Myers says the hot liquid spilled and gave her first- and second-degree burns, and accuses the crew of not providing proper care.
