As per CBI, Dr Birupaksha Biswas was seen at the hospital on August 9 – the day of the crime – despite no official engagement there.

Kolkata: CBI sleuths on Saturday started questioning another doctor, allegedly close to arrested former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital Sandip Ghosh, in connection with their probe into the rape and murder of a woman doctor at the medical establishment, an officer of the agency said.

FIR lodged against Birupaksha Biswas and two other doctors for allegedly threatening medical college student across West Bengal.

The CBI has approached the court for permission to conduct narco analysis on former principal Sandip Ghosh and a polygraph test on ex-Tala PS OC Abhijit Mandal. Both are involved in the rape-murder conspiracy of an R G Kar PGT doctor.

The court has extended the CBI custody of Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College and Hospital till September 25

The CBI is considering a narco analysis test on Sandip Ghosh, the former principal of RG Kar hospital, in connection with the rape-murder of a woman doctor. Ghosh has not been cooperating with investigators.
