The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will reveal the successor to Arvind Kejriwal as Delhi's Chief Minister at noon following a legislative party meeting. The new CM will be named today after Kejriwal's resignation on Sunday.

The Aam Aadmi Party will reveal the successor to Arvind Kejriwal as Delhi Chief Minister at 12 pm on Tuesday following a legislative party meeting. Kejriwal resigned on Sunday, stating he will only return as CM when given a 'certificate of honesty' by the people.

Initially scheduled for a special Assembly session on September 26-27, the swearing-in date was moved up at the proposal of Delhi's Lieutenant Governor

The ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) party had initially decided that only Atishi would be sworn in, however, it was later determined that her council of ministers would also take the oath.

Atishi will become Delhi’s third female chief minister, following Sheila Dikshit of Congress and Sushma Swaraj of BJP.

Atishi will be sworn in as the new chief minister of Delhi on September 21, retaining all current ministers. Two new members may join the cabinet. Kejriwal has resigned, and Atishi has staked her claim to form a new government.
