India's Vodafone Idea on Sunday concluded a $3.6 billion deal with mobile and network manufacturers Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung for supply of equipment over a period of three years, it said in a statement to exchanges.

Vodafone Idea Ltd. has signed a $3.6 billion contract with companies including Nokia Oyj for the supply of equipment to the Indian phone carrier for a planned upgrade of its network.

Vodafone Idea has allocated contracts worth about Rs 30,000 crore to Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung for 4G and 5G network equipment over the next three years. This marks the beginning of their three-year capital expenditure plan worth around USD 6.

Vodafone Idea has signed contracts worth Rs 30,000 crore with Nokia, Ericsson, and Samsung as part of its Rs 55,000 crore capex plan. The investment aims to expand 4G coverage and launch 5G services in India.

Debt-ridden Vodafone Idea on Sunday said it has awarded contracts worth about Rs 30,000 crore to Nokia, Ericsson and Samsung for supply of 4G and 5G network equipment for three years. It is the largest deal awarded by any Indian telecom operator during this year.
